Description
English: Two women at an abandoned German coastal fortification on the Tjønneberget hill on the island of Hvasser, Oslofjorden, Norway. Photo taken in 1945, after the liberation of Norway from the German occupation during World War II.

Fra det tyske anlegget på Tjønneberget i 1945.

Under andre verdenskrig ble det satt opp en 150 cm lyskaster underlagt Torås fort, den gang MKB 4/501 Toraas. Det ble også etterhvert satt opp en radar av typen FuMo 2 Calais på stedet. Det er også en kanonstilling for 76 mm Bofors og to stillinger for 20 mm Madsen maskingevær. I tillegg kommer stillinger for nærforsvar, bunkere for personell, bunker for ammunisjonog bunker for et strømaggregat som skulle gi strøm til lyskasteren på stedet. Etter andre verdenskrig overtok det norske forsvaret stasjonen på Tjønneberget og oppdaterte radaren med en mer moderne radar, da FuMo 2 Calais-radaren som tyskerne satt opp allerede var umoderne i 1945. Radarstasjonen til forsvaret på Tjønneberget var operativt frem til slutten av 1990-årene. Området ble solgt til Tjøme kommune i 2007.
