| Description |
English: Four Wheels and Eight Legs, Coldharbour, Surrey. The cyclists and horse riders arrived at the junction at the same time. Following a short dialogue, it was decided that the cyclists should go first. In this picture, it is possible to see the walking action of the two horses.
Seeing the cyclists reminded me that back in June 1999, I cycled this route one evening after work, taking in Box Hill and Ranmore Common, before tackling the climb around the roads on Leith Hill. I chose a flatter route home, and clocked up a total of 59 training miles. Two days later, I managed a "personal best" on a 10 mile time trial, so I must have been doing something right! |
