Summary[edit]
DescriptionFort Wilson Philadelphia 2.jpg |
English: Site of "Fort Wilson" on the southwest corner of 3rd Street and Walnut Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. Fort Wilson was the home of James Wilson, a Founding Father of the United States. Another Founding Father, Judge William Lewis, also lived here for a time. The residential building currently at that location has a sign along 3rd Street that identifies it as the "Suites at Fort Wilson" and on the north wall facing Walnut Street are two historical plaques that commemorate Judge Lewis and the Fort Wilson Riot of 1779. |
