Description
English: Gun emplacement at Fort Ballance (built 1886 - 1888), Wellington, New Zealand. It originally contained a 7 inch RML (rifled muzzle-loading) gun, later upgraded to a 6 inch BLHP (breach loading hydro-pneumatic) gun. View across outer harbour, Ward island and to Eastborne on the far coastline.
