| Description |
English: Former bridleway into Nant Gwernog Plantation, Ceredigion. This is where the maps indicate the bridleway from Bryn Ambor entered the trees (felled 2007/8). The GPS reading gives SN7491251852. Remains of old gateposts are here, and a barbed wire fence. The present rider-friendly gate is north-east 200 metres further up the fence, here: 1233814. As the bridleway is indistinct or non-existent on this part of the approach from the south, this could be a problem in low cloud/foggy conditions.
No wonder I have always been confused in this forest coming up from Cwm Doethie. Nothing ever seemed to go in the right direction, but now all is visible (on a nice day). |
