Summary[edit]
DescriptionFormer Royal Artillery range buildings on the Anglesey Motor Racing Circuit - geograph.org.uk - 1039083.jpg |
English: Former Royal Artillery range buildings on the Anglesey Motor Racing Circuit. This camp set up at the beginning of World War II was an anti-aircraft training and testing base. Pilotless Queen Bee aircrafts were electronically guided from RAF Bodorgan to within range of the guns. This did not always prove to be the case. A plotting error led to one crashing on to Snowdon. The DJ John Peel served here as a B2 Radar Operator 1959-60.
