| Description |
English: Former Central Station, Rugby This photograph is taken from the platform of Rugby Central station looking at Hillmorton Road bridge. In common with most stations on the Great Central Railway's London extension, this had an island platform layout with access via steps from a road bridge. The steps have been removed as have all the buildings but it still possible to get an idea of how the station once was. Trains last ran here in 1969, although for the last three years of its life the station was a terminus with a minimal local service running between here and Nottingham. |
