Description
English: Footpath Down to Killicrankie Bridge, near Middlewood Tavern, Oughtibridge. This footpath and footbridge over the River Don is the only crossing of the River Don - other than some 'dodgy stepping stones' - between Oughtibridge and Leppings Lane, Hillsborough. It was originally put up to allow workmen across the river to work in the Gannister Mines of Beeley Wood and the factories in the Claywheels Lane area of Sheffield. The Yellow Sign warns of 'Deep Water' and has been erected whilst repairs to the nearby banking have been taking place. 1072023 1072045 1072052 1072060
