| Description |
English: Follow the footsteps A 'Walking For Health' group make sure the slower walkers don't go the wrong way by leaving numbered footsteps along the route. Each walk is approximately three miles in length, flat, avoids stiles and follows the guidelines of the Countryside Agency and the British Heart Foundation. The walks are usually circular, take about an hour to complete and everyone walks at their own pace. Trained leaders walk at the pace of the fastest and slowest walkers so that no one gets left behind. The health benefits are gained from the physical activity and also from the social interaction of the group. |
