Description
English: Every year, the Philippines celebrates a May Festival called Flores de Mayo. Part of the festivities is the Santacruzan, a religious event in honor of Constantine the Great and Queen Helena for finding the Cross of Jerusalem. In Marikina City (Metro Manila), the LGBT community has been staging its own Santacruzan for years much to the ire of the Catholic Church. In the photo, the Reina Emperatriz (Queen Empress Helena) in the 2015 parade.
