Summary[edit]

Description
English: Flooded concrete road on Janesmoor Plain, New Forest. This concrete road is a relic of the RAF/USAF airfield that occupied the plain during the Second World War. Nowadays it is used by forestry workers for access to the North Bentley Inclosure. The 18th century oaks on its northern edge can be seen in the middle of the picture, although the interior of the plantation was coniferised in the 1930s.
