POLARIS POINT, Guam (May 31, 2012) The Los Angeles-class fast attack submarine USS Tucson (SSN 770) comes alongside the submarine tender USS Emory S. Land (AS 39). Tucson, homeported in Peral Harbor, is on a western Pacific deployment, while Emory S. Land is on an extended deployment in Guam serving as the primary afloat maintenance activity in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations.
