U.S. 5TH FLEET AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY (Oct. 24, 2012) Navy Diver 1st Class Walter Dishongh, assigned to Mobile Diving and Salvage Unit (MDSU) 1 completes the set up for the assessment and identification of mine susceptibility system. MDSU-1 is assigned to Commander, Task Group (CTG) 56.1 and provides mine countermeasure, explosive ordnance disposal, salvage diving, counter-terrorism, and force protection for the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
