Nederlands: Dodenherdenking op de Waaldorpervlakte. Waar tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog meer dan 250 mensen (het precieze aantal is niet bekend) ter dood gebracht zijn door de Duitse bezetter.
Het monument op de Waalsdorpervlakte in Den Haag is opgericht ter nagedachtenis aan de naar schatting 250 tot 280 medeburgers, waaronder veel verzetsstrijders, die tijdens de Tweede Wereldoorlog door de bezetter in de duinen aan de rand van de stad zijn gefusilleerd. 215 van hen kwamen vanuit het nabijgelegen Oranjehotel. Where during the Second World War more than 250 people (the exact number is not known) were put to death by the German occupiers.
The monument on the Waalsdorpervlakte in The Hague was erected in memory of the estimated 250 to 280 fellow citizens, including many resistance fighters, who were shot by the occupying forces in the dunes on the outskirts of the city during World War II. 215 of them came from the nearby Oranjehotel. |
