Description

Austin, Texas, native, Pfc. Zachary Sherman, a tanker assigned to the 1st "Black Knight" Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment attached to the 1st Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, pulls security in northern Baghdad, Aug. 23. Sherman joined the Army to continue a family tradition of serving in the military. He plans to use his military experience to accomplish his dream of becoming a police officer for the Boston Police Department.
