Description
English: Pearl Harbor survivors and media take a closer look at a flagpole on Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, which continued flying the flag, even though torn by bullets and shrapnel during the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The survivors and media took part in a joint U.S. Navy/National Park Service ceremony commemorating the 65th anniversary of the attack . The theme of this year's historic commemoration "A Nation Remembers" reflects on how the remembrance of Pearl Harbor has evolved since World War II.
