German flag with swastika found near Cassino and autographed by members of B Company, 24th Battalion, 1944 The flag was found near the south bank of the Rapido River about 4000 feet west of Monte Cassino by J McQuorkindale on night of 17-18 Feb. 1944. It was later autographed by members of B Coy 24th NZ Bn. 2NZEF 5th Army. |
