English: Site of Five Mile House station, 1991. View eastward, towards Woodhall Junction etc.: ex-GNR Lincoln - Boston/Firsby lines. The station had been closed 15/9/58, although trains stopped for anglers until 6/9/64; the line to Boston survived until 5/10/70, but Woodhall Junction - Firsby was closed 17/6/63. The broad River Witham is on the left behind the bushes. |
