Tragopogon dubuis - invasive; Alternate names: Goatsbeard, yellow salsify, wild oysterplant; Blooms May - July; Introduced from Europe. Commonly mistaken for large dandelions, they exhibit similar traits and bloom patterns. The salsify produces large orb-like cluster of windborne seeds the size of a baseball.
