Italian traffic sign

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Italian road sign: town sign. The sign can be used to sign both the municipal boundary of a town or the build-up area; in the second case also the "no horn" and "speed limit - 50 km/h" must be used with the sign. The sign can also be used for province border, rivers, mountain passes ans geographic parallel. Picture 97a of 1959 Highway Code Regulation; fomaly abolished in 1992 but changed already in 1979 when the white background with black word was introduce for build-up area (reteing the blu-white color for all other situations) and the graphical details (rim, font) were modernized.
