  • de: »Fehlpaarung zwischen einem männlichen Grasfrosch und einem (inzwischen toten) Feuersalamanderweibchen. In gewissen Bereichen (z. B. in Wäldern, auf Waldlichtungen) nutzen Grasfrösche und Feuersalamander gemeinsam einen Laichplatz. Das führt gelegentlich zu Verwechslungen. Infolge des starken Paarungstriebs umklammern die Froschmänner dabei auch im Uferbereich liegende Feuersalamanderdamen und drücken diese unter Wasser, so dass diese letztlich ertrinken. Im Wasser bzw. unter Wasser sind selbst die starken Hautgifte des Feuersalamanders wirkungslos. Ich habe das ungleiche Paar aus dem Gewässer geborgen, um dies besser fotografisch festzuhalten. Selbst hierbei hat der Grasfrosch nicht losgelassen!« - M. Linnenbach
