Summary[edit]

Description
English: Fetternear House and Bishop's Palace. These ruins were once the summer residence for the Bishops of Aberdeen, first construction was about 1329. Some archaeological digging was in progress in front of the palace which was closed to the public on safety grounds. The house was given to the Leslies of Balquhain but was ruined by fire in modern times. In front, the Marshes Burn cascades over a weir.
