Català: La Festa Major de Castellar de n’Hug és un element inclòs a l'inventari del patrimoni cultural immaterial del Parc Natural del Cadí-Moixeró, inventari realitzat per Institut del Patrimoni Cultural Immaterial (IPACIM).
El 29 de setembre, Sant Miquel, se celebra invariablement l’ofici de festa major, però la Festa sempre s’allarga al dia anterior o posterior. Per als preparatius de la Festa es té en compte el calendari, i se li dona un caire més públic quan coincideix en cap de setmana i es preveu una major afluència de familiars, amics i visitants. Antigament hi havia dues festes majors, la de Sant Joan, o festa major petita, i la gran, que es dedicava a la patrona de Castellar de n’Hug, Santa Maria, el 15 d’agost. Però a l’agost el rebost de les cases era buit i hi havia molta feina al camp, per això es va traslladar a Sant Miquel, patró de la vila, i amb ella el ball cerdà. Era una Festa emocionant, es feia revetlla i sempre venia una orquestra de renom per amenitzar el sarau (ball de nit). Segons el record dels més grans, fins als anys 1950 aproximadament, la Festa no tenia una durada determinada, se sabia quan començava però es podia allargar fins a tres o quatre dies més en funció de la disponibilitat dels músics i dels veïns.
English: The "Festa Major de Castellar de n'Hug" is an element included in the inventory of the intangible cultural heritage of the Natural Park of Cadí-Moixeró, an inventory carried out by the Institute of Immaterial Cultural Heritage (IPACIM).
On September 29, Sant Miquel, the feast day service is invariably celebrated, but the Feast is always extended to the day before or after. For the preparations for the Festival, the calendar is taken into account, and it is given a more public aspect when it falls on a weekend and a greater influx of relatives, friends and visitors is expected. In the past there were two major festivals, that of Sant Joan, or small festival, and the big one, which was dedicated to the patron saint of Castellar de n' Hugh, Santa Maria, on August 15. But in August the house pantries were empty and there was a lot of work in the fields, so he moved to Sant Miquel, the town's patron saint, and with it the Cerdà dance. It was an exciting party, there was a reveille and a renowned orchestra always came to enliven the sarau (night dance). According to the memories of the older ones, until the 1950s or so, the Festival did not have a fixed duration, it was known when it started but it could be extended up to three or four more days depending on the availability of the musicians and the residents.

El 29 de septiembre, Sant Miquel, se celebra invariablemente el oficio de fiesta mayor, pero la Fiesta siempre se alarga al día anterior o posterior. Para los preparativos de la Fiesta se tiene en cuenta el calendario, dándose un cariz más público cuando coincide en fin de semana y se prevé una mayor afluencia de familiares, amigos y visitantes. Antiguamente había dos fiestas mayores, la de San Juan, o fiesta mayor pequeña, y la mayor, que se dedicaba a la patrona de Castellar de n' Hug, Santa Maria, el 15 de agosto. Pero en agosto la despensa de las casas estaba vacía y había mucho trabajo en el campo, por eso se trasladó a Sant Miquel, patrón de la villa, y con ella el baile cerdà. Era una Fiesta emocionante, se hacía verbena y siempre venía una orquesta de renombre para amenizar el bullicio (baile de noche). Según el recuerdo de los mayores, hasta los años 1950 aproximadamente, la Fiesta no tenía una duración determinada, se sabía cuando empezaba pero podía alargarse hasta tres o cuatro días más en función de la disponibilidad de los músicos y de los vecinos. |
