Summary[edit]

Description
English: Farmland at Higher Ferry. This fertile arable land on the north bank of the River Dee, was created when river embankments were built two or three centuries ago in an effort retain a viable port in Chester which was an important port in Roman Britain. The resultant reclaimed land is known as Sealand. It was once the site of the horticultural nursery for Bees Seeds. The picture was taken from the river embankment on the south east edge of the grid square, looking north.
