Summary[edit]

Description

NSF celebrated the career of Deputy Director Cora Marrett at a farewell reception, with science policy leaders, current and former NSF staff, and special guests. Marrett retired from the foundation at the end of August 2014. NSF Director France Córdova led the tributes, reading a note from former director Neal Lane, who was unable to attend the reception. Córdova recounted some of the highlights from Marrett’s impressive record of service to NSF and her academic career, and extended her personal thanks and best wishes for her next chapter.
