| Description |
English: Fairburn Ings with Looming Pylons. Looking south-west from the road (Newton Lane), this is the western end of Fairburn Ings, located over subsided & flooded mines dug in the late 20th century and then protected by the RSPB nature reserve. Beautiful place, attracting birds from near and far, possible location of legalised "wild swan & goose hunting" in the near future if the impending bird-flu outbreak takes hold (?). |
