Español: El Complejo Cultural Esquiú es una de las instituciones más importantes de la ciudad de San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca.Fundado por el Padre Fray Salvador Narvaez (1893-1976) con la idea de crear un espacio de exhibición de objetos, reunidos desde 1935.
Desde la década del '40 se da inicio a la construcción de la sala principal del Museo a cargo de la Dirección de Arquitectura y urbanismo de la Nación, y con el pasar de los años se realizan las ampliaciones necesarias hasta tomar la forma del edificio que podemos observar actualmente. En su interior se encuentran: el Museo Arqueológico Adán Quiroga, el Salón Calchaquí, la Biblioteca Sarmiento y la galería Fray Lobos. En cuanto a sus características arquitectónicas, el edificio posee un estilo neocolonial, donde resaltan verjas de hierro forjado y retorcido, farolas, carpintería con herrajes artesanales |
