Summary[edit]
DescriptionFace on Mars with Inset.jpg |
Čeština: Projekce povrchu Marsu vytvořená na základě snímků z kamery HiRISE na palubě americké sondy Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter ukazuje jeden z pahorků v oblasti Cydonia Mensae. Pahorek, známý jako Tvář na Marsu, vzdáleně na starších fotografiích pořízených Vikingem 1 roku 1976 připomínal humanoidní tvář, což vyvolalo mnoho konspiračních teorií. Malý snímek v rohu je původní fotografie z roku 1976, z tohoto obrázku jej vyřízl wikipedista Plumbago. English: Popular Landform in Cydonia Region (PSP_003234_2210). The High Resolution Imaging Science Experiment onboard the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter captured this image of an eroded mesa made famous by its similarity to a human face in a Viking 1 Orbiter image with much lower spatial resolution and a different lighting geometry. North is up on this image, and objects ~90 cm across are resolved. This image is a cropped version of a map projected grayscale image available here. Cropping was done by User:Plumbago using Paint Shop Pro 9. |
