Une monnaie de 50 centimes en argent de la Troisième République française datée de 1916. C’est la troisième année de la Grande Guerre ou Première Guerre mondiale. C’est aussi l’année de la bataille de Verdun.

A/ REPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE La semeuse, personnification de la République, à gauche, semant à contre vent. Un soleil levant derrière la Semeuse. En bas, signature O.Roty (Nom du graveur)

R/ LIBERTE.EGALITE.FRATERNITE 50 CENTIMES sur deux lignes, en dessous, branche d’olivier à gauche ; au-dessous, millésime 1916.
