Description
English: A McDonnell Douglas F-4F Phantom II (s/n 37+06) from Jagdbombergeschwader 36 (JaboG 36) (36th Fighter-Bomber Wing) of the West German Lufwaffe (Air Force) taking off from the German Autobahn (interstate highway) A 29 near Ahlhorn, Lower Saxony (Federal Republic of Germany), on 28 March 1984. This part of the A 29 was a NATO emergency airstrip which was used for 48 hours as such during the "Highway 84" excercise, before it was officially opened for traffic.
