Summary[edit]

Description
English: NASA Dryden's NF-15B, tail number 837, takes off with landing gear retracting on a Lift and Nozzle Change Effects on Tail Shock (LaNCETS) project research mission. NASA's Dryden Flight Research Center accomplished a series of flight tests to measure shock waves generated by an F-15 jet in support of the LaNCETS project. The research flights, flown December 2008 through January 2009, provided data to help validate computer models that could be used in designing quieter supersonic aircraft.
