Summary[edit]

Description U.S. Air Force North American F-100C Super Sabre fighters from the 174th Tactical Fighter Squadron, 185th Tactical Fighter Group, Iowa Air National Guard taxi to their revetments for refueling and rearming after completing a mission, Phu Cat Air Base, Vietnam, in 1968-69. On 26 January 1968, the 185th FW was recalled to active Federal service as a result of the "Pueblo Crisis". During the year in Vietnam, the 174th flew 6,539 combat sorties totally 11,359 hours of combat time. The unit returned to Sioux City, Iowa (USA) on 28 May 1969.
