DescriptionExtreme Gingerbread.jpg |
I made these cookies for our annual holiday open house at work. I got the cookie cutters from the convent, and the plate was picked up for me at a thrift story by Sister Mary Ann when she heard I needed a big plate. This was my second batch this season and I changed up the recipe a bit, adding more spice and using whole wheat flour. They taste pretty good, but I had a lot of grief rolling them out. Some of these have three kinds of ginger in them! Ground ginger, diced fresh ginger, and the crystallized ginger on top. The others have cinnamon red hots. They are all a little spicy, but I made a few with cayenne which had a a real kick. Also, I used this photo as album art for my Xmas Office Party mix. Enjoy. |
