Description
English: Soldiers of NATO’s multinational enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup (eFP BG) are training with the 1st Estonian Infantry Brigade (1 EST Bde) during Estonia’s annual exercise WINTER CAMP. The two-week long exercise which started on the 28th of January 2023 demonstrates the combined arms capabilities of UK, French, Danish and Estonian forces. For the past five months, the current rotation of the UK-led eFP BG has consisted of the British Army’s King’s Royal Hussars Tank Regiment, B Company of the Scots Guards, 127 Battery and 176 Battery of the Royal Artillery and 3 Armoured Engineer Squadron deployed alongside the Army’s Viking Squadron and the Les Verts Company of the French Army’s Mountain Infantry Brigade. The exercise also saw a further surge of troops including a company of Mountain Commando’s and a platoon of Chemical Biological Radioactive and Nuclear (CBRN) specialists of the French Army DeTere, the RAF’s Chinook Helicopters (CH47) of the Royal Air Force’s Aviation Task Force and High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS) of the US Army’s 1st Infantry Division (1ID).
