| Description |
English: Evening at the Imperial War Museum, Lambeth Road Viewed from the gate in Lambeth Road just before closing time. The building formerly housed the Bethlem Royal Hospital, popularly known as "Bedlam". It was built in 1815 and Sidney Smith's dome was added in 1846 to contain the chapel. It was opened as a war museum in 1936 by King George VI. |
