| Description |
Español: Tras 5 años escondido en la montaña occidental de Cantabria y los Picos de Europa, debido a su huída de Potes ante las palizas propinadas por la guardia civil y temiendo por su vida, un 24 de abril. Juanín y Bedoya (los que se echaron al monte, después denominados maquis) ven acercarse a la pareja de la Guardia Civil formada por el cabo Leopoldo Rollán Arenales y el número Ángel Agüeros Rodríguez. Los dos republicanos, no dados por vencidos a pesar de ser los últimos, esperan en el cementerio, a unos metros colina arriba. En el momento preciso Juanín se adelanta, salta la tapia del cementerio y llega a la carretera con el propósito de huir. El cabo Leopoldo Rollán Arenales abre fuego y muere sobre la carretera con la yugular seccionada por la bala.
