BRIVIESCA.—Retablo del altar mayor de la iglesia en el Convento DE Santa Clara I008 BURGOS cieron los invasores (i), sirvió de depósito de prisioneros, y últi-mamente de almacén, aunque en nuestros días ha sido devueltaá su primitivo y natural destino. La iglesia Parroquial de Santa María, hoy Colegiata, es mo-derna, y nada ofrece de particular en su exterior bajo el con-cepto artístico; consta en su interior de tres naves espaciosas,siendo en ella notable la Capilla de las Reliquias, propia de losmarqueses de Sofraga, colocada al lado de la epístola y labradaen los días del Renacimiento así como la reja que la cierra. Lapuerta que le sirve de ingreso, cobijada por un lambel, muestrasobre las columnas apilastradas las efigies de San Pedro y SanPablo, y toda ella se ofrece delicadamente cubierta de elegantedecoración, que contrasta con la frialdad general de la fábrica,contribuyendo á dar más valor á esta capilla no sólo los tresarcos sepulcrales que á la derecha de
