Sombríos son los claustros del Convento libres de clausura,que nos fué dado visitar, cuyas bóvedas de cascos y resaltadosnervios, son obra al parecer de la XVI.^ centuria (i), haciéndosemás de reparar, exenta é inmediata á este edificio, la abandonadaiglesia de Santa Lucia^ llamada antes de San Clernente^ y cuyaportada de sabor románico en todos los detalles, produce senti-miento por el estado deplorable en que se halla. No es cierta-mente menor el que engendra la contemplación de las sober-bias y cuadradas torres de la señorial morada que los duques deFrías tuvieron en Medina de Pomar, y que han dado nombre ála plazuela donde se levantan.
