Deutsch: Escherichia coli im Aminopeptidase-Test, mit positivem Ergebnis (der Mikroorganismus besitzt das Enzym L-Alanin-Aminopeptidase, welches das im Teststäbchen enthaltene Substrat L-Alanin-4-nitroanilid in die Aminosäure L-Alanin und 4-Nitroanilin spaltet, wobei 4-Nitroanilin die Gelbfärbung verursacht). Ein positives Ergebnis im Aminopeptidase-Test ist typisch für gramnegative Bakterien.
English: Escherichia coli in the aminopeptidase test, showing a positive result (the microorganism has the enzyme L-alanine aminopeptidase, which is able to hydrolyze the substrate L-alanine-4-nitroanilide within the test strip, to form the amino acid L-alanine and 4-nitroaniline, which causes the yellow color). A positive result of the aminopeptidase test is typical for gram-negative bacteria.
