English:
Spirit factory/distillery chimney built in around 1934. Here was Mózes Blau Pálinka Distillery, built in 1835 company est. in 1805. The distillery processed the fruits of the area. With a new name Blau M. und Son company (Est. 1848) produced cognac in their (new) factory. Initially, in addition to cognac, they even made salty wine spirit. They delivered to the entire territory of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy, to Bosnia, Dalmatia, Germany. Warehouses were established in Vienna and Budapest. Their agency operated beyond many cities of the monarchy as in Belgrade, Krakow etc. At the end of the 19th century, they worked with 25-30 workers, with other 25 employees made caps for beverage bottles in the country's first metal cap plant established here. The other popular product of the company was the 'Congo' tea rum. The company also won the titles of emperor and royal court supplier. After World War I, the owner of the facility became Transdanubian Farmers' Distillery Rt. The plant's old chimney collapsed in 1934, 99 years after construction. - About Nagykanizsa factory chimneys: These 20-30 m high brick chimneys of coal-fired boilers are a legacy of older times, they are no longer built since the spread of gas heating. The eleven factory chimneys still standing, although mostly no longer smoking: Csengery út brick factory (2 pcs), GE/General Electric factory (3 pcs), former brewery, former glass factory, furniture factory, DKG ( (Transdanubian Petroleum Industry Machine Factory), Slaughterhouse, Erzsébet tér 13. (former cognac factory). Szeszgyár (Dunántúli Mezőgazdák Szeszfinomító Rt.) 1934-körül? épült 'új' kéménye. Az eredeti céget 1805-ben Blau Mózes alapította Blau Mózes és Fia néven. 1848-tól Blau M. és Fiai névvel működött. 1835-ben ugyancsak Blau Mózes építtette a későbbi gyár elődjét. Kezdetben a konyak mellett még sósborszeszt készítettek. Szállítottak a monarchia teljes területére, Boszniába, Dalmáciába, Németországba. Raktárt létesítettek Bécsben és Budapesten. Ügynökségük működött a monarchia sok városán túl Belgrádban, Krakkóban. 19. század végén 25-30 munkással dolgoztak. Ekkor már az üzem része volt egy pálinkafőzde is. 25 alkalmazottal, az ország első, itt létesített fémkupak üzemükben italos palackokra készítettek kupakokat. A konyakjukon kívül népszerű termékük volt a Congó tearum. A cég elnyerte a császár és királyi udvari szállító címet is. Az világháború után a létesítmény tulajdonosa a Dunántúli Mezőgazdák Szeszfinomító Rt. lett. Az üzem régi kéménye 99 év után 1934-ben dőlt le. A még álló, bár zömében már nem füstölgő 11 gyárkémény: Csengery úti téglagyár (2 db), GE/General Electric (3 db), volt sörgyár, volt üveggyár, bútorgyár, DKG (Dunántúli Kőolajipari Gépgyár) , Vágóhíd, Erzsébet tér 13. (volt konyakgyár). A Vár utcai volt szeszgyár kéménye 2017-re már félig vissza lett bontva, a megszűnt téglagyárak kéményei (Petőfi u., Kaán K. u.) és az üveggyár egyik kéménye is lebontásra kerültek.
