Summary[edit]
DescriptionErmita de Porta Vaga Tower.JPG |
English: The bell tower of the Santa Monica Church, situated near the middle of the old Port City of Cavite, which was heavily damaged during World War II. Since then, the ruins of the church had collapsed until only the bell tower remained. The old church lot is now occupied by informal settlers.
This tower is often confused as the bell tower of the Porta Vaga Church, which have similar looks. The Porta Vaga tower though, has only three levels (two-story with arched windows and base level) while on this picture the tower has four levels (three-story with arched windows and hidden base level). [Removed the cultural property tag (WMPH-ID-PH-40-0034) since this is not the Ermita de Pora Vaga tower (see Discussion page) but most probably the Santa Monica tower.] |
