العربية: تتأثر آليات علم ما فوق الجينات بعدة عوامل وعمليات منها النمو داخل الرحم وفي الطفولة، المواد الكيميائية الموجودة في المحيط المعيشي، العقاقير والأدوية الصيدلة المتناولة، الكبر في السن، ونظام التغذية. تحدث مثيلة الدنا عندما ترتبط مجموعة ميثيل (وهي عامل فوق جيني يتواجد في بعض مصادر الأغذية) بالدنا والتي يمكنها تنشيط أو تثبيط الجينات. الهستونات هي البروتينات التي يلتف حولها الدنا من أجل ضغطه وتنظيم عملية التعبير عن الجينات. يحدث تعديل الهستون عند ارتباط عامل فوق جيني بذيل الهستون ويغير مقدار التفاف الدنا حوله و يسمح بقابلية وصول آليات النسخ الخلوية إلى الجينات الموجود في الدنا الذي يتم تنشيطه. جميع هذه العوامل والعمليات يمكن أن تؤثر على صحة الفرد ونتائجهم الصحية الممكنة مسببة السرطان، أمراض المناعة الذاتية، اضطرابات نفسية، السكري وغيرها من الأمراض. معاهد الصحة الوطنية الأمريكية. |
