Summary[edit]

Description
English: Two Ensignbus double-deckers, pictured in the coach lay-by off St Paul's Church Yard road (St Paul's Cathedral is the white building to the left). At the rear is bus 126 (reg. P426 UUG), while infront is bus 129 (reg. WLT 429).

Both buses are 1997 built Volvo Olympian double-deckers with Alexander Royale bodywork. Both were new to long distance operator Yorkshire Coastliner, with coach seating and in single-door configuration, delivered as fleet numbers 426 (P426 UUG) and 429 (P429 UUG). Ensign has at some point re-registered P429 UUG as WLT 429, which they took off of their Routemaster bus RM429 in 1991 (RM429 continued in service as XMD 81A).

The office and retail development One New Change is being constructed in the background. The tower is all that remains of the former church of St Augustine Watling Street.
