Description

This picture is of a centenery year run by ex GWR engine "City of Truro". The train was passing through Highbridge, Somerset en route to Bristol mid-afternoon early in November 2004 in fading light. The date given here does not coincide with that shown in the camera technical details - the batteries were hurriedly changed and the camera date record was not reset.

In 1904 the engine, number 3440, designed by G.J. Churchward had reached a then record speed of 102.3 mph.
