It was simply magnificent upon the springy turf,and leaving the village we climbed a hill to get abetter view of the snowy range of mountains thatrose like giants from its very doors. A herd ofshaggy cattle were grazing peacefully upon thesteep slope, their musical bells sounding clear uponthe still air. The atmosphere was exhilarating, andwe felt able to walk for ever.
