English: Ancil F. Haines was Vice President and General Manager of The Admiral Line, based at the steamship company’s main office in Seattle. This photograph is included in an album owned by Mr. Haines. Some of the photographs depict offices and employees of The Admiral Line in Japan and China. The Pacific Steamship Company owned The Admiral Line (later known as Admiral Oriental Line) and operated five ocean liners on the Seattle to Far East route. Written in white ink on album page: The Admiral Line, General Office Kobe, Japan.
