Embroidered Satin Wrapper
Description
  • Scope and content: This item is an embroidered satin wrapper, most likely used to wrap ceremonial records from China. A repeated, circular dragon design is embroidered on the wrapper, in gold, blue, pink, red, and white thread. Included are two ties, approximately 40.5 inches in length, also embroidered with dragon designs. Also included are sheets of newspaper from 1925, which have no apparent connection to the wrapper.
