Description
English: Emblems of the queen of France Catherine de Medici which where on the western facade of the palais des Tuileries. These emblems are symbols of the widowhood of Catherine de Medici after the accidental death of her husband the king Henri II : broken mirror, the scythe of death cutting the links of love.
Français : Emblèmes de la reine Catherine de Médicis qui se trouvaient sur la façade ouest du palais des Tuileries. Ces emblèmes représentent le deuil de Catherine de Médicis après la mort accidentelle de son mari le roi Henri II : le miroir brisé, la faux de la mort qui coupe les liens de l'amour.
