Theside framing consists of 4-in. x 3-in. x z/2-in. angle posts con-nected at the top with a 4-in. x 3-in. x J^-in. angle plate bymeans of gussets and angles, and riveted with %-m. rivets.The sheathing is of 3/16-in. steel plate, with butt joints, and isfastened to the side framing with 5/16-in. button-head rivets. A plain arched roof, consisting of 3/16-in. steel plates sup-ported on 2/2-in. x 2^4-in. x ;4-in. angle carlines spaced 2 ft. oncenters, forms an arched truss and adds materially to thestrength of the body. The plates extend out over the body onthe ends and sides, and afford protection from the weather andgive a pleasing appearance to the roof. There is a wide woodenrunning board extending along the top of the roof. It isfastened to the roof by cleats which are bolted to angles rivetedto the roof plates.
