| Description |
English: Map of America's 50 states + DC, scaled by number of Electors per state.
This map uses a similar mathematical approach to Population Scaled US Map.svg (see for more details), but it replaces population density with elector density (the number of electors per total area of the state). It also normalizes the scaling factor of each state to the total elector density of the 50 + DC, rather than the density of New Jersey as in the pop. scaled map. This map can be updated just as easily by replacing the scaling values in the xml. The data used for the calculations for this map were copied directly from census.gov and national archives. A tabular copy of the data and all of the calculated data used is available on this image's Commons talk page. |
